For the past several years I have been invited to the Grace Bible Chapel Ladies Retreat. This year the ladies also invited Linda Kramer wife of Tom Kramer who also serves at the Life-Saver Chapel with my husband Sam and myself. The Retreat is held at the Dunes Manor Hotel in Ocean City, MD.
The weather was perfect and the drive down was uneventful. Praise the Lord, He provided beautiful sunshine the whole weekend, even though it was a bit cold on Saturday and Sunday.
Grace Bible Chapel choose TFC as their mission for this weekend.
Friday night, I gave a presentation on TFC . . . who we are, what we do, and how we minister to visitors to the chapel. Thanks to several driver friends, I was able to share their comments about the chapel and how they feel when they find the chapel doors CLOSED. Thank you drivers, you know who YOU are.
A VERY nervous Margaret sharing the Ministry of TFC
The ladies at GBC wanted to provide items that drivers and visitors alike could use and so they collected numerous items for the Chapels in Elkton. There were books, Bibles, puzzle books, CDs, tapes, shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, mouth wash, deodorant, band aids, tissues, wet wipes, stationary, stamps, note pads, pens, pencils, coloring books, crayons, and much more. The ladies were so very gracious in their giving.
Also, there was a silent auction. There were over 47 items up for bid. The total raised was over $1,000 and that money will be donated to TFC. Thank you! Thank you!

On Saturday there was a Fashion Show and what a Fashion Show it was. I was asked to be a part and oh my, we had a great time with much laughter. See my part below.
My ensemble was Leopard prints with Bell bottoms. You can't see the Bell bottoms but I had bells taped all around my ankles, plus bells on my fingers. I definitely was jingling. A good time was had by all of us, both the participants and the audience.
Linda and I had a great time at the Retreat and met and got to know many of the ladies. They showed us much love and care and are truly Ladies of Grace. There are not enough words to say THANK YOU for all they did.
The weekend was perfect until the very end of my trip, about 15 miles from home a small herd of deer decided to cross the road in front of me and unfortunately I hit one of them. I was not hurt, only my pride. The car can be repaired.
My deer left me with a bit of his fur. I hope he/she is okay. I don't like the thoughts of hurting one of God's creatures.
